LAS VEGAS, Nev. (April 29, 2026) – Today, Silver State Equality, Nevada’s statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights advocacy nonprofit, announced its endorsement of Tick Segerblom for reelection to the Clark County Commission representing District E – citing his exemplary record of advocacy for and engagement with LGBTQ+ residents and commitment to protecting the civil rights of all Nevadans.

Silver State Equality State Director André C. Wade released the following statement.

“Tick Segerblom has long been a steadfast and outspoken champion for LGBTQ+ equality, dedicating his career to advancing meaningful progress across Clark County and Nevada. He governs with vision, integrity and a focus on results grounded in the belief that protecting equal rights is not only a moral imperative but also smart public policy that strengthens our communities and economy. His record of achievements spans local, state and national impact – from leading efforts in the Nevada Legislature to repeal discriminatory language in the state constitution restricting marriage equality to advocating for workers’ rights, attainable housing and affordable healthcare. Segerblom has consistently fought for fairness, dignity and opportunity for all. This year’s election is a critical opportunity to elect representatives who are the strongest champions for LGBTQ+ rights. Silver State Equality endorses Tick Segerblom for reelection to the Clark County Commission, District E. His exemplary record of advocacy for and engagement with LGBTQ+ residents has earned him our support.”

Clark County Commissioner Tick Segerblom is a Silver State Equality founding member and has served on the Board of Advisors since 2019.

A fourth generation Nevadan, Segerblom was first sworn in to represent District E in 2019, later serving as vice chair and chairman of the Board of County Commissioners. He has served in both the Nevada Assembly and Senate over six regular and eight special legislative sessions. His public service career also includes state chair of the Democratic Party and roles with the Colorado River Commission and Las Vegas Planning Commission. An attorney specializing in employee-employer relations, he has been honored by the ACLU and Nevada AFL-CIO for his advocacy on behalf of working families.

Silver State Equality endorses and supports 100 percent pro-equality candidates – up and down the ballot – fighting for LGBTQ+ civil rights, reproductive freedom and social justice. Visit Silver State Equality for more information on endorsements.
