LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Sept. 1, 2026) – Silver State Equality, Nevada’s statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights advocacy nonprofit, today announced the endorsements of five candidates running for state, local and national offices ahead of the November 2026 midterm elections.
“The decisions made by leaders at every level of government – from the U.S. Congress and statewide offices, city halls and school boards – have a direct impact on the everyday lives of Nevadans,” said Silver State Equality State Director André C. Wade. “The candidates we are endorsing have demonstrated a strong commitment to civil rights, a willingness to stand up to discrimination and a record of delivering meaningful results for the communities they serve. At a time when Trump and his administration are advancing an aggressive anti-LGBTQ+ agenda, Nevadans need leaders in all levels of government who will defend our rights and keep moving Nevada toward full, lived equality. This November, Nevadans have a critical opportunity to elect pro-equality leaders who will ensure our voices are represented – in Washington D.C. and Carson City, and throughout Nevada communities. Silver State Equality is proud to have steadily increased the number of LGBTQ+ and allied officials across Nevada, and we are confident this growing slate of candidates will build on that legacy. We look forward to working alongside these candidates to protect the rights, safety and well-being of LGBTQ+ Nevadans and continue advancing equality for all.”
