LAS VEGAS, Nev. (April 8, 2026) – Silver State Equality, Nevada’s statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, today endorsed seven candidates for state and local office, and two ballot initiatives, underscoring what advocates are calling a pivotal election for LGBTQ+ rights and democratic freedoms in Nevada.

“This year, as LGBTQ+ equality further emerges as a symbol of democracy, the 2026 election is a critical opportunity to elect the strongest champions Nevada has ever had –to protect LGBTQ+ rights and all citizens’ civil rights,” said Silver State Equality State Director André C. Wade. “We are meeting this moment by organizing, mobilizing and turning out the vote in record numbers. From the Nevada State House and the halls of Congress – to county commissions, city councils and mayors’ offices – our community and allies must have a voice wherever decisions are made.”
